“Launch Online” Up to $7,500 in Funding For Your Next Digital Project.

What do you need to qualify?

• Businesses must have a goods and services tax number
• Pay taxes in B.C
• Have 1 – 149 employees
• Had to have generated sales of more than $30,000 in either 2019 or 2020

“Launch Online” is a BC Government program that aims to help thousands of businesses throughout BC to fund their online growth in e-Commerce, online booking systems, and others.

Whether it is transitioning from a brick-and-mortar space to a digital world, simply improving your existing processes, or jumping into digital marketing for exposure, the program helps subsidize a big part of the project’s cost with your preferred development and digital marketing company.

What do you receive?

The Launch Online Grant program, which will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis, will provide eligible business owners support of up to 75 percent of eligible expenditure to develop or enhance an e-commerce platform.

How does it work?

You will be asked to provide:

• A current year or past fiscal year income statement
• Federal business number
• PST and WorkSafeBC registrations, if applicable
• Income tax return:
  • Notice of assessment (2019); or
  • The first section of T2 return or first section of owner’s tax return (form 5010-R) (2019 or 2020)
• B.C. business registration number and official registered name

The Program Application has three Steps:

1. Develop a grant proposal that explains how you plan to use the funds. The proposal
   should be broken out into the different cost fields as identified in section 3.2.1 of this
   document. Businesses need to show a cost estimate that includes how much funding you need and how the money will be spent for each cost grouping (online shop or online booking system development, digital customer acquisition or training costs).

1. Complete the online application demonstrating that you meet the eligibility criteria and
   submit your proposal.
2. Applicants will be contacted within three weeks with the outcome of their application.
   For the projects to have an immediate benefit, the funds will be issued and provided to the
   grant recipient as soon as the application has been approved.

Deadline

The program will run until Sept. 30 or until all funds are distributed.
